Leo Meirose has been representing contractors, subcontractors, insurance companies, sureties, developers, and owners in construction and commercial litigation for more than 37 years. He has been a success because he enjoys the challenge of representing clients in complex and changing situations--over nearly four decades it has enabled him to establish an eye for aiding clients and providing solutions. As the founding partner of Meirose & Associates, he takes great care in developing and implementing claims and defenses for his clients. Prior to establishing his private practice, Mr. Meirose earned a JD from Stetson University and a Bachelor's Degree from Notre Dame University. His first position in the legal field was working as an in-house counsel for a major construction material manufacturer. It was during this time that Mr. Meirose developed his acumen for construction law and stepped out to create a firm focused in this area. To stay involved with his professional community, Mr. Meirose is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Saint Petersburg Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Fidelity and Surety Committee and the Tort and Insurance Practice section of the Construction Industry Forum Committee of the ABA. He is a frequent presenter at legal seminars in construction-related areas, and is a member of the Panel of Construction Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association, and is also a certified Mediator.
