Luxury Assisted Living and Memory Care Coming to St. Louis County

    ST. LOUIS, MO, March 19, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A new senior living option in at Dougherty Ferry and Big Bend is moving closer to completion. Construction is now underway on Dougherty Ferry Assisted Living and Memory Care, a new community offering luxury at an affordable price, including flexible month-to-month leasing programs.

Slated to open in early 2016, Dougherty Ferry Assisted Living and Memory Care is a project of Spectrum Retirement Communities, a Denver-based company ranked in the top five senior living companies for excellence by its peers. St. Louis-based Vessel Architecture & Design designed the community, Catamount Constructors is general contractor for the project.

The 80,000-square-foot community is located at 2929 Dougherty Ferry Road, at the northwest corner of Dougherty Ferry and Big Bend roads. It will feature 65 Assisted Living and 32 Memory Care residences ranging in size from studio apartments to two-bedroom units. Residents can take advantage of the community's top-flight amenities - including chef-prepared dining, Colors of Spectrum wellness programs and entertainment activities - or access the many attractions in the surrounding area.

Dougherty Ferry is Spectrum's fifth community in the St. Louis metro area and the sixth in the state. The community's unique Residence Club allows residents with mild cognitive impairment to stay in an assisted living apartment and receive additional support from a dedicated Life Enrichment Specialist.
