All funds collected by RCBA will be used for third-party expenses. None of the officers or volunteers are compensated," said CFO Kerri Cook.
FORT WORTH, TX, March 19, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In an impressive illustration of putting "your money where your mouth is," the members of the leadership team for Reform Canine Breeders and Auctions (RCBA) pledged over $10,000 at its first meeting--all of it coming from their own pockets.
"Our group seeks to bring all dog breeders up to the standard of the better dog breeders, the ones who provide humane treatment and regular vet care for their animals," said CFO Kerri Cook. She added, "All funds collected by RCBA will be used for third-party expenses. None of the officers or volunteers are compensated."
"Once we're established as a not-for-profit, we will begin to raise funds outside of the leadership team. We will respect the privacy of donors by protecting their identities and not sharing individual donation amounts. The process will be secure, probably through PayPal, because it is easy and trusted," said Cook.
"At last January's meeting, the group enthusiastically embraced fundraising goals. Everyone stepped up, time- and money-wise, to make the launch of RCBA a possibility," said President Hue Grant.
Ron Sturgeon, the founder, added, "We know how important it is to be well funded. We have many experienced professionals who have donated time and financial support to this national dog breeding reform group."
