BILLINGS, MT, April 03, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The World Hongming Foundation ("the Foundation") is pleased to announce that its Tree Planting Program ("TPP") in Billings Montana has been launched. The Foundation's Montana offices are located here. The Foundation wants to make the Billings area brighter and greener!
The Foundation started evergreen tree planting on North 26th street on March 31, 2015. More tree plantings are being planned in the urban areas of Billings and tree planting activities/events will take place all year long. Most events take place on either Friday or Saturday and include all of the training and tools.
The Foundation is launching the TPP based on the following:
1) The Foundation aims to build a mindful and compassionate urban community that values green and trees in service to humanity and all life on the Earth. As a non-profit organization, one of the Foundation's original missions is to take any possible action, including, but not limited to, planting evergreen trees as a means to improve our environment, our health, and our well-being.
2) Because trees are a vital resource for humans and habitats alike, sufficient trees in a region usually help establish better water quality, air quality, energy savings, and habitat, in addition to social and psychological well-being. Tree planting is always a positive action for human beings with tangible benefits that anybody in a community may easily participate in. It encourages a sense of environmentally-responsible camaraderie in communities, among families, and in schools. Planting a tree is a satisfying endeavor that inspires individual hope, growth, patience, and knowledge.
3) Tree planting becomes more critical for inland cities, such as Billings, Montana. There is almost no green throughout Billings during the long winter period. Most of the plants in Billings, including its parks and streets, are either grey or brown. Nothing shows the sense of life in winter.
To enable more and more evergreen trees to be planted in Billings this year, donors, volunteers and planting-space sponsors from the both public and private sectors are urged to join the TPP.
1) For Donors - As a public nonprofit organization, the Foundation raises money from the general public, such as individuals and for-profit business entities, in addition to other non-profit foundations and organizations, to provide grants per the Foundation's policy and funding criteria. Accordingly, the success of any of the Foundation's programs, including the TPP, replies on the support from the general public. The Foundation appreciates each enthusiastic donor to sponsor its TPP activities in Billings. Donors may be either individual persons or private firms. Your monetary donations will be used for tree purchasing and planting in Billings. Your generosity is entirely tax-deductible throughout USA.
2) For Volunteers - The Foundation is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to participate in its TPP activities in Billings. Volunteers play an important role in tree planting and tree care better serving the communities. Volunteers of all ages may help plant trees in neighborhoods, parks, schools and open spaces throughout Billings.
3) For Planting-Space Sponsors - The TPP requires open space throughout Billings to plant trees. Any space sponsors from the neighborhoods, parks, schools and public agencies are welcome.
If you like the Foundation's TPP, you are welcome to join as a donor, a volunteer, or a space sponsor:
