Second Annual Peli Peli Charity Classic Golf Tournament To Benefit ORPHANetwork

    HOUSTON, TX, April 15, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Peli Peli, a South African restaurant based in northwest Houston with a second location recently opened in The Galleria, will host its Second Annual Charity Classic Golf Tournament on Monday, May 4, at Raveneaux Country Club at 9415 Cypresswood Drive, Spring TX. Peli Peli's first charity golf tournament, held last May, raised more than $10,000 for Texas Children's Hospital. Proceeds from the upcoming tournament will benefit ORPHANetwork, a Nicaragua-based orphanage that provides care and creates opportunities for a better life for abandoned, abused and underprivileged children. Peli Peli's customers and vendors, along with members of the restaurant industry and the local community, will participate in a day of golf, fun and food, all for a good cause.

"We had the pleasure of meeting Bob David, ORPHANetwork's development officer and a fellow Houstonian, and were very impressed with what they are doing to better the lives of children who are less fortunate. We knew this was the organization we wanted to partner with." Additionally, many of Peli Peli's employees sponsor children who reside at ORPHANetwork through monthly donations.

The 4-player scramble/best ball tournament will commence with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m., and close with an awards ceremony and dinner featuring Peli Peli's South African cuisine. Registration is $200 per player or $800 for a team of four and includes green fee, cart, range balls, dinner and gift bag. Deadline for registration is April 25, 2015.
