Angela Walsh Honored for her Accomplishments in Management, Law & Health

Ms. Walsh is currently seeking a new opportunity through which she will be able to utilise her many years of diverse professional experience. She is well regarded for her proven ability to lead, develop and coach diverse teams of lawyers and other professionals. Although she is currently searching for new opportunities in senior management, Ms. Walsh's career is hardly stagnant. After leaving AMP Limited in early 2014, in the role of Senior Legal Counsel & Head of Dispute Resolution and Claims Support, she has been working as a senior solicitor and claims consultant at a private legal practice in Sydney.

In addition, Ms Walsh is due to obtain accreditation as a Mediator from LEADR & IAMA in late April 2015.

Ms. Walsh worked for Avant Mutual Group Limited for 12 years. Initially as a Senior Claims Manager, and then as National Operations Manager - Claims. Prior to completing her law degree, she was a clinical nurse specialist in coronary care and critical care which provided her with hands-on high level clinical experience. Working in management, claims, and life insurance has enabled her to combine her legal and nursing skills. Looking back over her career as a whole, Ms. Walsh attributes her success to her determination in achieving in every role she has undertaken.

Ms. Walsh is currently close to finishing an MBA from the Australian School of Business, University of New South Wales (UNSW). Angela also holds a Masters of Health Law from The University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Laws from the UNSW and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.

As a diligent and hard-working professional, Ms. Walsh has attained many achievements in her career. Notably, she managed a large diverse team of professionals and chaired AMP's Panel Case Conference Committee, She also transformed the Dispute Resolution & Claims Support Team into a highly functioning and proficient team providing exceptional specialist services to internal and external customers. Ms Walsh has also had articles published regarding medico-legal issues and has presented many papers at nursing conferences on legal considerations for nurses.
