BOSTON, MA, April 22, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert T. Foley, Chief Talent Officer of 360 Talent Advisors, has been selected as an Executive of the Year Member of National Association of Distinguished Professionals. The selection recognizes Robert T. Foley's commitment to excellence in High Performance Leadership Services.
Beginning his career as an assistant to the newly elected sheriff of Hampden County, Massachusetts, Mr. Foley began learning the human resources aspect dealing with various labor contract negotiations and daily labor relations activities. He then moved his way into a position with the Marriott Hotel as their director of personnel, which would turn into a 35-year career in the hospitality/hotel business.
Now, as the chief talent officer of 360 Talent Advisors, Mr. Foley trains millennials in the fine art of leadership and helps baby boomers transition from corporate life to their second act. The organization assists client companies on how to make millennial task managers and transform them into ascending leaders while helping transitioning boomers decide what they want to do with their lives for the next 20-plus years.
"With 10,000 baby boomers retiring every day, this is becoming the largest transfer of institutional knowledge ever in business and many companies have not planned for this," Mr. Foley said. Today, due to the large advances in technology, change has sped up so greatly that many companies cannot afford the time to onboard and mentor ascending management and the pension plan has been retired and replaced with lower cost bonus or 401K programs. Companies have jettisoned a paternal role and replaced it with an employee, self-directed plan or personal responsibility program that can be implemented at any time due to business considerations, where we at 360 Talent Advisors come in is helping the company coach its workforce towards making these 'moments of truth' a planned rather than a catastrophic event, which is not good for anyone."
Crediting his extensive background in human resources and work history in the lodging franchise, Mr. Foley plans to continue to make a change for the better, one client at a time. Currently a member of Business Network International and Crossroads for Kids Hotel, he holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Providence College. Mr. Foley will also be included in the upcoming edition of NADP's 'Top 100 Industry Experts' magazine for 2015.
