Elsie Tan, Pilates Director, Named Professional of the Year in Pilates Instruction

    SINGAPORE, April 22, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Elsie Tan, Pilates Director, Studio Director of Elements Pilates Pte Ltd, has been named a Worldwide Branding Professional of the Year in Pilates Instruction. While inclusion in Worldwide Branding is an honor, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Branding membership.

Ms. Tan has 12 years of professional experience, with six years as a studio director of Elements Pilates Pte Ltd. Throughout her career, she has set herself apart as an expert in clinical issues, movement and functionality. On a daily basis, she is responsible for working with five other instructors who share a common goal, as well as resolving clinical issues and situational conditions, post and pre-natal, youth and sports, body and mind, and balance. She also helps people learn about the inner workings of their bodies.

Looking back, Ms. Tan attributes her success to her faith and passion. She became involved in her profession because of her personal interest in Pilates. She has a great respect for the body, mind and soul. Additionally, she wants to stay balanced and teach others how to do the same.

Ms. Tan received a master's degree in educational management from the University of Western Australia. Adding to her degree are certifications in PMA Pilates, gyrotonics and gyrokinesis. She has also received certifications from the Swimming Teacher Association, HydroRider and FISAF Aqua. In years to come, Ms. Tan plans to be working in the same field and become involved in health care.
