FORT WORTH, TX, May 17, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carolyn Rubin, Senior Director Revenue Cycle Innovations for Anthelio Healthcare, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through the National Association of Distinguished Professionals. Ms. Rubin will be featured in the upcoming edition of the NADP Women of Distinction Magazine in 2015.
Beginning her career in healthcare in 1991, Carolyn Rubin worked as a pharmacy technician before going back to school to become a medical assistant. Becoming certified in coding and compliance, she has gained experience in the practice/facility setting, has taught multiple courses at a local community college, including her own coding course, and has enjoyed doing public speaking, being a consultant assisting with processes, and providing education to allow providers to concentrate on quality patient care.
Now a Senior Director Revenue Cycle Innovations, Ms. Rubin provides end-to-end revenue cycle assessment for practices/facilities with recommendations for best practices and identifies opportunities for improvement.
"Knowing that I can play a part in patient care is very rewarding," Ms. Rubin said. "My grandpa, who was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma, told me something when he found out I was going into oncology, which I will never forget. He told me that when I go to work each day, to walk through the door with the eyes of a patient and you will always be successful. That is exactly what I do each and every day."
Ms. Rubin holds a certification from AAPC as a Certified Coder, Certified Instructor and Certified for ICD-10, and a diploma from Omaha College of Health Careers in Medical Assisting. She was the recipient of a 2009 Customer Service Award with US Oncology, was named VIP Woman of the Year with the National Association of Professional Women for 2012 and 2013, was a delegate for The International Women's Association in 2013, Woman of the Year in Education for the American Biographical Association, named Top Female Executive, Professional, and Entrepreneur in 2015, and was named Executive of the Year in 2015. Ms. Rubin enjoys paying it forward by serving as a mentor, teacher, and coach, and she supports Multiple Dystrophy Association, American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen Foundation, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and Make-A-Wish Foundation.
