Presbyopia is a common eye condition affecting more than one hundred million Americans. Presbyopia causes a loss of near vision in individuals over the age of forty and gets worse over time. This loss of near vision requires the use of reading glasses. During this simple fifteen minute vision correction procedure, the KAMRA inlay is carefully placed in the cornea utilizing a femtosecond laser. This thin membrane restores near vision while maintaining distance vision. The revolutionary concept that sets the KAMRA technology apart from other attempts to correct presbyopia, is that it is immune to the progressive nature of near vision loss, so overtime the treatment does not wear off. The KAMRA procedure can reduce the need for reading glasses for everyday tasks such as looking at smart phones, computers, reading labels etc. and restore the youthfulness and freedom that is lost by being dependent on reading glasses to see things up close.

Dr. Abrams and Dr. Brooker are both available for media interviews.
