Artmart Aids St. Louis ArtWorks in Mission to Develop Local Youth
The local art supply store has been providing supplies for over 20 years.
ST. LOUIS, MO, July 11, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Artmart, the local art supply store, is sponsoring St. Louis ArtWorks, an organization dedicated to developing artistic and professional skills in underserved youth in the St. Louis area.
Artmart has supported their initiative for 20 years by donating large amounts of the art and framing supplies throughout the years, which are used by ArtWorks. Artmart continues to be a proud sponsor of this ever-growing and thriving organization.
"We love that ArtWorks doesn't simply create artists or professionals," said Artmart's owner, Keith Baizer, who was awarded the organization's Superman Award a few years ago for Artmart's continued generosity. "Artmart has consistently been touched by ArtWorks' dedication to placing the underserved youth in their program on the path toward a happy and fulfilling life by learning skills through meaningful relationships with their mentors."
Founded in 1995, St. Louis ArtWorks has served almost 3,000 underserved youth in the St. Louis area. These youths, or apprentices, have developed social and soft skills alongside experienced professional artists. Their works are then sold, commissioned, or performed depending on the nature of the work.
As ArtWorks prepares to start a new and more permanent chapter in its history by moving to a new location on Delmar by the Loop this summer, Artmart will remain one of its leading sponsors. Together they will ensure that the youth in St. Louis will continue to be immersed in art where otherwise they may never be exposed.
Since 1952, Artmart has been the largest art supplier for the Greater St. Louis region. They provide a large array of quality art supplies to artists of all levels and host classes for their patrons to create beautiful art. Artmart also houses a framing center, allowing customers to put their masterpieces in a wide variety of beautiful frames.
Artmart is located on 2355 South Hanley Road. They are open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
