Stacie L. Grossfeld, MD, Recognized for Excellence in Orthopedic Medicine with Induction into Worldwide Registry

    LOUISVILLE, KY, July 16, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Stacie L. Grossfeld, MD, Medical Practitioner, President and Owner of Orthopaedic Specialists, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in orthopedic medicine.

With more than 18 years in the orthopedic field, Dr. Grossfeld specializes in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. President and owner of her own practice, she is responsible for providing and ensuring quality medical care in sports medicine for new and returning patients, performing surgery, and scheduling inpatient and outpatient appointments.

Through a continuous love of learning and passion for her profession, Dr. Grossfeld has been able to establish a successful medical practice. Being a competitive athlete herself, she feels that she is able to better relate to her patients and be more effective at practicing sports medicine. She is committed to helping her patients live pain free and get back to their active lifestyles. Dr. Grossfeld intends to continue maintaining the highest standards of excellence possible in surgical and clinical care.

Dedicated to getting more college students to choose careers in medicine, Dr. Grossfeld has established a number of partnerships to help mentor students. She is currently a clinical professor at the University of Louisville and participates in their Guaranteed Entrance to Medical School program. Dr. Grossfeld also provides pre-med internships to students at Centre College in Danville, KY. Further, she serves as a mentor with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery to encourage female medical students to consider careers in orthopedics.

Dr. Grossfeld is double board certified in orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine. She obtained an MD from University of Louisville in 1991. She completed a fellowship in sports medicine in 1997 at the University of Western Ontario's Fowler-Kennedy Sports Center, and an orthopedic surgery residency and general surgery internship at University of Minnesota in 1996 and 1992, respectively. Recognized for excellence, Dr. Grossfeld was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry. Additionally, she is a member of the American Academy of Sports Medicine.
