Lyndall Hill has been Named a Professional of the Year in Human Resources

    STANTHORPE, AUSTRALIA, August 10, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lyndall Hill, Human Resources Manager for O'Connell Agencies, has been named a Worldwide Branding Professional of the Year in Human Resources. While inclusion in Worldwide Branding is an honor, only small selections of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Branding membership.

Ms. Hill possesses nearly 35 years of experience in a variety of educational leadership positions in schools, TAFE and universities in Queensland and Papua New Guinea, working with students from age 5 to adults. She skilfully mentors groups of at risk youths, using Dr. Glasser's Choice Theory and Reality Therapy methods. Ms. Hill now uses these skills in the construction industry in a number of roles and services. Her focus is on Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islanders and Indigenous education. She hopes to bridge the gap of knowledge and understanding between the community and staff by working with the local people and Elders, and developing mentoring programs for various levls of staff development. Ms. Hill's areas of expertise include staff development, training, workshop facilitation, leadership development, executive coaching, and emotional intelligence.

Ms. Hill has spent the past two years in the role of human resources manager for O'Connell Agencies, a manufacturer of specialty materials for the construction industry. Her position with the company primarily entails staff training, the development and management of mentoring programs, and the establishment of networking opportunities. Ms. Hill attributes her success to the time and energy she puts into everything that she does.

Now pursuing a master's degree, Ms. Hill holds a degree in Asian Studies, a postgraduate Diploma in Applied Linguistics and a Certificate of Teaching in secondary humanities. Her professional affiliations include the National Association of Women in Construction Education and Mentoring Committee. Looking toward the future, Ms. Hill aims to move into a director position on the board of Iconic Columns and Structures and is a founding Board Member of the Formworkers Association of Australia.
