Ms. Dyer educates and assists farmers in the development and implementation of conservation plans to address their natural resource usage and concerns.
Daily, you will find Patty Dyer advising and working with farmers to develop conservation plans for livestock management in order to improve the usage and productivity of their pastures and haylands. By teaching farmers to take into consideration how to address resource concerns involving the development of water systems, fencing systems, rotation of grazing schedules and other practices, Ms. Dyer is able to address soil productivity and water quality on their land. Patty Dyer instructs farmers by planning efficient and effective land usage, and by designing fencing systems that will regulate livestock access to forages and implement a water development plan. Consequently, they will be able to intensively manage the grazing of their cattle and other livestock, still have fresh forages available during the winter months, and be able to harvest excess hay for future use. Once the decision was made to build a new structure, Ms. Patty Dyer designed the new building and acted as General Contractor until the building was completed. As a result, the Grange membership is growing.
