BALTIMORE, MD, October 08, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Maryland hosts its 5th Annual Actavis+Allergan Cycle for Life. This event will be held at the Herrington Harbour South Marina in North Beach, Maryland on Sunday October 11, 2015 at 8 am. The Actavis+Allergan CF Cycle for Life is a fully supported ride with route options of 20, 40 and 60 miles. From breakfast to the cycle post party, event participants will enjoy fully stocked rest stops every 10-12 miles, bike mechanics for bicycle maintenance and repair, ride marshals to cheer them on, in addition to the support vehicles that will be on site to help them complete the ride. Cyclists will ride through some of the most scenic terrain in Maryland's treasured Chesapeake Bay. This unique event empowers participants to take action and demonstrate their fight in finding a cure for cystic fibrosis in a tangible, emotional and powerful way.
Tim Ritchie and Hamilton Chaney are serving as this year's event co-chairs. Actavis + Allergan is the national title sponsor for this event series. National corporate sponsors for this event include: Genetech, CVS- Caremark Specialty Pharmacy, and Detour. Local sponsors are Annapolis Velo, Bike Doctor Arnold, Herrington Harbour, Herrington on the Bay, and HighStarr Copy Services. Over the past 4 years, Cycle for Life has raised over $236,838 to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Maryland. This year's goal is to raise $ 75,000, which will go directly to medical research and patient support programs.
