Angel Fernandez-Carbonell Honored for Excellence in Sales and Marketing

    GRANDVIEW, MO, October 23, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Angel Fernandez-Carbonell, Vice President of Latin America Operations for WestRock, was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Branding. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

Mr. Fernandez-Carbonell has 13 years of professional experience with WestRock, with two years of experience as a vice president of Latin America operations. Throughout his career, he has set himself apart as an expert in sales and marketing, as well as entrepreneurship, business operations and lean manufacturing. Each day, he is responsible for leading and supporting manufacturing activities in Mexico and Brazil, while also coordinating the implementation of lean manufacturing in facilities worldwide. He acts as as general manager for WestRock Calmar in Barcelona, Spain.

Looking back, Mr. Fernandez-Carbonell attributes his success to always pushing himself to learn and do something different, even internationally. He became involved in this profession because of a fortunate opportunity. He started his career in chemicals, managing his own business. When this opportunity came along, he transitioned to it.

Mr. Fernandez-Carbonell received a Global Executive MBA from IESE Business School in 2007 and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Allegheny College in 1991. In the future, Mr. Fernandez-Carbonell hopes for continued growth, and to rise through the ranks of his profession.
