Critical Thinking Model Inventor Launches Crowdfunding Campaign to Open the American Academy of Advanced Thinking in Atlanta

Edward Brown, inventor of the IBAR Critical Thinking Model, is excited to announce plans to build the American Academy of Advanced Thinking (AAAT).

ATLANTA, GA, October 29, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Edward Brown, inventor of the IBAR Critical Thinking Model, is excited to announce plans to build the American Academy of Advanced Thinking (AAAT). If Brown is successful in raising the targeted $282,213, AAAT will open by November 2016. AAAT will act as a micro-college or certified "Finishing School"that develops proprietary critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making methods for students entering the workforce. The AAAT's purpose is to help close the skills gap that experts propose is widening due to many U.S. educational systems focusing on students passing standardized testsrather than becoming critical thinkers.

If successful, the campaign will see the specialized school open in the business district of Buckhead (a suburb within Atlanta).

Brown said AAAT will use a hybrid business model. It will have the specialized information of the American Management Association (AMA), the for-profit infrastructure of The University of Phoenix, and the operational logistics of Sylvan Learning centers.

"We are on a mission to be the vanguard for a modern day 'Age of Reason.' If corporate managers and college career advisors say that students aren't prepared with the complex reasoning skills needed in the workplace, we want to solve that problem" Brown said.

To differentiate itself frombeing categorized as a seminar company, AAAT intends to be become certified through theSouthern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to offer college credits as well as access federal student loans.

Brown said, "There are many studies that suggest that colleges aren't preparing graduates with the necessary critical thinking skills for the workplace. And other studies suggest that corporate managers don't believe it's their responsibility to teach these skills to college graduates. As a result of these competing interests, we saw an opportunity to bridge the divide."

Additionally, AAAT will partner with companies to place graduates into jobs. Many of the students will be entering college and attend AAAT to get into competitive schools. College graduates will attend AAAT to gain an advantage for ideal jobs. And corporate employees will attend to gain the necessary skills to become more profitable. Finally, AAAT will have online as well as in-person classes available.

Proponents of specialized education can bring AAAT to reality by contributing to its private crowdfunding campaign. The campaign, which rewards backers with plaques, registry acknowledgement, and naming rights, is also an opportunity for donors to become an active part of education reform.
