TUALATIN, OR, December 17, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The National Rural Economic Developers Association (NREDA) has unanimously elected Randy Trost to the Board of Directors during the organization's annual membership meeting held during the 2015 NREDA Annual Conference in Denver, CO for a three year term. He will assume the role on January 1st.
Randy Trost is a senior telecom consultant specializing in the technical and business aspects of telephony. Randy has been involved in the technology side of the telecom business for many years and has worked with both domestic and international carriers in helping them understand new technologies, how to deploy them and the market models that make them viable. He has also worked extensively as a network planner and designer helping his clients build reliable fixed, fiber, cellular and wireless networks. This broad section of large, small and rural carriers has provided unique insights to the individual challenges that each carrier faces. Prior to GVNW, Randy worked 12 years for Intel Corporation as part of their Service Provider Program Office. There, Randy was part of the DSL Forum, Wimax Forum and other industry bodies that ultimately cater to the telecom industry. Randy held management roles in Customer Support, Product Line Management and Strategic Planning where his projects were again specific to the Service Provider industry. Randy designed and managed production of Intel's DSL modem, DSL residential gateway and WiFi based product lines for consumers. Randy currently serves as a Regional Captain for the NREDA Membership Committee.
