SHERIDAN, OR, December 17, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Thanksgiving at the Delphian School means students and faculty enjoying delicious turkey dinners with their families, but it has also meant another tradition for decades. This tradition is the Upper School's annual Thanksgiving Play, which was held on November 25th this year.
Budding actors from across the Upper School tried out to snag a part in early October. This year, the play in question was an adaptation of Agatha Christie's "A Murder is Announced." The play stars Christie's famous detective "Miss Marple." In this outing, the intrepid sleuth must discover who "announced" a murder in the local paper and then carried out the act.
Directed by Delphian faculty member Jordan Siegel, the play was yet another beloved performance in the school's primary performance space, the Little Theater. Positive reviews surrounded the show that will be the school's main dramatic outlet until the next major performance in the spring at Parents Weekend.
The Delphian School is an independent, coeducational day and boarding school located in Sheridan, Oregon open to students from around the world. Delphian offers a rigorous academic independent-study program with a strong emphasis on practical learning for primary through high school students. Delphian also offers a highly regarded international entry program and boasts a diverse, international student body representing over eighteen countries.
