NEW YORK, NY, January 06, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Leora Edut, Creator of Goddess OnThe Go, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Leora Edut will be featured in the upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2015/2016.
As Creator of Goddess On The Go, Leora Edut's vision was to bring as many women together as possible, a personal journey that came to life after arriving in New York from Detroit, Michigan 13 years ago, one year after 9/11. Leaving behind a really rough crowd she was introduced to transformation work in New York and she spent eight years making peace with herself.
"I had a point of loneliness and realized what I was truly missing were girlfriends and a sense of sisterhood," Ms. Edut said. "I began a Goddess Group to help me. I realized that so many women don't have community and it's so easy to isolate. That began the start of Goddess On The Go four years ago. I love seeing other women get what they want; it's so inspiring to see the belief that we instill in one another when we leave competition behind and come from a space of authentic caring."
Goddess On The Go holds events to help form relationships with all those that take part. They also host smaller, weekly goddess circles, held by Ms. Edut herself, holding space for the women to reach their highest potential. Women are wired to take care of everyone else first, which leaves them exhausted, frustrated, and angry. Their events help them to slow down and learn the benefits of self-care/self-love. These ladies walk away learning how to refill their own tanks first before being able to take of another.
Studying and working with women her entire career, Ms. Edut is a former manicurist and celebrity makeup artist. She's been working with Gems-Girls.org (GEMS) for the last five years, bringing mini Goddess On The Gos to the girls, and a profit of all tickets that Ms. Edut sells goes directly to GEMS. Collaborating with the editor of Heart N Soul Magazine was their latest project, building the girls a library with inspirational/spiritual books, art projects, DVDs, and IPads for the girls and their children.
Ms. Edut studied psychology, business management, and fashion marketing in college, and is now a new mother to an eight-month-old daughter. She hopes to someday build safe-housing and community centers for women around the world who have been affected by sex-trafficking.
"I want to empower women all over the world and remind them of their power, their worth, and that there is nothing they cannot achieve with consistency, faith, and by allowing themselves to be led by love," she added.
