Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Ellie Neff as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    WESTOVER, PA, January 21, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ellie Neff, Chief Executive Officer of Neff Educational Consultants, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Ellie Neff will be featured in the upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2015/2016.

Becoming a teacher in August 1974, Ellie Neff taught in a very small, rural, poor school district. Spending the next 39 years in the very same building where she first started, she wore many hats. In addition to teaching in the classroom, she coached softball, was an advisor for the cheerleading squad, the yearbook, and student government, served as drama director, the at-risk director, and as a liaison to the countywide professional development committee. After retiring, she founded Neff Educational Consultants, as a way to continue giving back.

"I founded the company and I developed the EBB Program," Mrs. Neff said, who will be doing consulting work for curriculum development and teacher effectiveness for elementary and secondary educators. "The company is just in the beginning stages and will be conducting two pilot programs in two local schools to gather statistical data to document the effectiveness of the program. I personally used this technique during the last five years of my teaching career. The positive results on state standardized tests motivated me to develop the professional development program."

Having always been greatly inspired by those who have placed a child's needs as a top priority, Mrs. Neff had the same enthusiasm on her last day of teaching as she did her first. She is eager about the future of Neff Educational Consultants and confident about the level of expertise she has to offer.

A graduate of Slippery Rock University with a BS in Education, Mrs. Neff then earned her MEd at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, followed by her Principal Certification at St. Francis University.
