Kimberly Higgins Lane Named Professional of the Year in Business Administration

    SHERWOOD PARK, AB, February 02, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kimberly Higgins Lane, Retired Store Owner of McDonald's, has been named a Worldwide Branding Professional of the Year in Business Administration. While inclusion in Worldwide Branding is an honor, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Branding membership.

Ms. Lane has 26 years of professional experience, with 13 years as a retired store owner of McDonald's. She has set herself apart from other professionals through her extensive skills in management, personnel development and training. During her active years with the company, she was responsible for managing company operations and improving her restaurant's cash flow.

Ms. Lane retired from McDonald's to spend time with her family and pursue other opportunities. Ms. Lane's restaurant manager received an award for his service, and one of her supervisors was nominated for an award. She had been successful in doubling her facility's cash flow. The greatest achievement of her career was owning and operating three McDonald's while raising a family.

She attributes her success to her personal development skills. She became involved in her profession by working for McDonald's part-time after graduating high school. She cites her first day of being her own boss as a major highlight of her career to date.

In 1992, Ms. Lane received a Certification in Accounting. In recognition of her excellence through the years, her McDonald's store received the Restaurant of the Year Award in 2009 and 2010, and she herself received a Manager of the Year Award in 2000. Throughout her service with McDonald's, she served as a board member for Ronald McDonald House Charities. In years to come, Ms. Higgins Lane aspires to experience professional growth and own more restaurants.
