SHERIDAN, OR, February 04, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Every year, the Delphian Human Rights Club works to educate fellow humans about the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This group has hosted educational events, tutored fellow students, and held teacher workshops to help teachers spread peace and tolerance throughout our community.
2015 was the fourth year this Delphian School group has been awarded for their hard work. No only did they receive a certificate from the Arlene and Harold Schnitzer Foundation, acknowledging them for their hard work in the area of human rights, these students were awarded $500.
Fio Magliola, the group member who accepted the award, pledged to use this money to reach out to more students and educators in 2016. She also reminded the audience that spreading human rights and peace is vital work.
We are extremely proud of the great work being done by the members of this group and look forward to the good works the Human Rights Club will do in 2016.
