Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Laura Cherry as a Distinguished Professional in Her

    BELLWOOD, PA, February 06, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Laura Cherry, Business Owner of Main Street Barbershop, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Laura Cherry will be featured in the upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2015/2016.

After graduating from Bellwood Antis High School in Bellwood, Pennsylvania, Laura Cherry made the decision to move to Harrisburg to study at the Barber Styling Institute. Upon graduation, she began working at a very successful, well known barber shop in downtown State College, Pennsylvania. After nearly four years, she was ready to move back to Bellwood. That's when she opened the doors to Main Street Barbershop as Owner.

"Along with the many responsibilities that go along with being a business owner, like the financials, advertising, and even the daily duties like cleaning, the most important aspect of my day is in making sure my clients have a smile on their face when they walk through the door and giving them the true barbershop experience filled with lots of stories and laughs," Ms. Cherry said.

Taking away so much from her time spent at Barber Styling Institute, Ms. Cherry says they had many tricks up their sleeve that every good stylist should know. Still implementing the many techniques she learned there, combined with the experience she gained during her first four years she worked in State College, she looks forward to many more successful years in business for herself. Her determination and dedication to the beauty business has been partially due to her father's daily and inspiration, as well as her dear friends and the love of her life, and she couldn't be happier in her role.
