James Riley has been Named an Executive of the Year in Manufacturing

Mr. Riley has 45 years of experience in manufacturing, with 14 years of experience as President and CEO of Laclede Chain Manufacturing Company LLC. He is majority shareholder of the company. His areas of expertise include operations, financial, forecasting and sales. In his role as CEO, Mr. Riley is tasked with overseeing operations, strategic planning, budgeting, marketing and sales. In addition, he is responsible for new product and new business development, and growth of the company. Laclede Chain Manufacturing Company LLC manufactures and distributes steel chain used for overhead lifting, tire chains and tie-downs for flatbed trucks.

Mr. Riley attributes his success to hard work, and entrepreneurial and business experience. He received an MBA in Finance and Management from Southern Illinois University in 1982, after earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 1971. Mr. Riley maintains affiliation with the Association of Wire Rope Fabricators, Vistage International, and is a two-time former president of the National Association of Chain Manufacturers. In the coming years, he intends to experience a continued expansion of services and growth in his career.
