Dominique Lallement Honored for her Contributions to Chartres Cathedral

    WASHINGTON, DC, April 08, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dominique Lallement, President of American Friends of Chartres, was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Branding. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

Ms. Lallement recently become the president of American Friends of Chartres. Throughout her career, she has set herself apart as an expert in bringing people together to achieve a common goal. Each day, Ms. Lallement provides the organization with its long-term goals and strategy. She also establishes system processes to create accountability and forges strong relations with the French government and sister organizations. She leads the ongoing project for the restoration of major stained glass windows at Chartres Cathedral.

Looking back, Ms. Lallement attributes her success to her hard work, honesty and commitment. She became involved in her profession because she realized the importance of preserving cultural heritage through the cathedral. The highlight of her career was helping to improve the lives of underserved individuals.

Ms. Lallement received a Master of Public Affairs, with a concentration in academic development from Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University in 1974 and a master's degree in European studies from the School of European Studies at the Institute of International Studies in 1970. Charitably, she supports the Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund, the Apple Hill Chamber Orchestra, the Choral Arts Society and the Special Olympics. In years to come, Ms. Lallement hopes to continue to work with young people as a consultant. She will also continue to mentor youth on a one-on-one basis.

American Friends of Chartres is a nonprofit organization that raises funds for the preservation and restoration of Chartres Cathedral. The organization also promotes the cathedral for all of its cultural dimensions, and offers a scholarship program.
