Ruth E. Salvisberg Honored for Excellence in Finance

Ms. Salvisberg has 23 years of professional experience, with five years as the Vice President of Group Financial Control of SGS. Throughout her career, she has set herself apart as an expert in structure consistency, sustainability, building teams, finance, auditing, compliance and project management. Each day, she is responsible for reviewing and analyzing financial results, as well as establishing consolidated financial statements and preparing the financial section of the annual report. She also standardizes practices on behalf of the company and manages various projects.

Looking back, Ms. Salvisberg attributes her success to taking advantage of opportunities and working hard. She also credits being passionate about what she does and building a clear path through education. In addition, she has gained broad experience in different environments and industries. She became involved in her profession because of her keen interest in the legal and finance industries.

Ms. Salvisberg received an executive master's degree in European and international business law from University of St. Gallen in 2010 and a master's degree in economics, finance, audits and trusts from Universität St.Gallen, Hochschule für Wirtschafts, Rechts und Sozialwissenschaften in 1992. Additionally, she was named as a CPA in 1999. She maintains affiliation with SwissHoldings, the Corporate Centre of Reporting and the International Financial Management Association, Geneva. In the coming years, she intends to become chief financial officer at a top international corporation.
