MINNEAPOLIS, MN, May 05, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Maria Little-Arnold, Chief Executive Officer of C.U.P.I.D. Solution LLC, Acronym Village, and Breaking Your Circle of Life, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Maria Little-Arnold will be featured in Women of Distinction Magazine in 2016.
As the Owner of three relatively new companies, which are all home-based, Maria Little-Arnold is working diligently to make a difference in her community. Specializing in mentoring the youth, grades 6-8, she is overseeing every task from beginning to end, and is relying on volunteers to help her with various tasks. Luckily, she has a lot of people supporting her cause who want to help her get the funding she needs to hire staff and become successful.
"I began my career in volunteering in 2008 at my church with the young girl's ministry, which ranged from ages 7- to 12-years-old," Little-Arnold said. "My daughter and her friends were experiencing a lot of issues during this time so I wanted to inspire her. I mentored my daughter, sister, and their friends, and later decided I could use those skills and education to mentor other girls. This is when my entrepreneurship journey began."
Relying on investors and other businesses to invest in her, Little-Arnold says it hasn't always been easy. But knowing that there are plenty of people out there in need of her services, she is eager to move forward.
"People are coming to me for information and resources all the time and I want to help them find answers," she added. "I want to help them with their life's problems."
Currently a Youth Leader at New Beginnings Baptist Tabernacle in Minneapolis, Little-Arnold also volunteers by doing community events with the youth each month at her church. She also volunteered with Urban Youth Conservation and for a number of other worthy causes in the past, and spent many years as a Parent Liaison for Bethune.
Little-Arnold works in retail full-time as a Store Manager for Rainbow's, a women's clothing store. She has been in retail for many years now. Graduating from Gage Park High School in 1994, she then graduated from Robert Morris College with an AAS in Business Administration in 1997, from La Creche Early Childhood Center, Inc. with a Certificate of Parenting in 2000, from Northside Economic Opportunity Network with a Certificate of Entrepreneurship in 2006, and will be graduating with a BS in Business Administration from Globe University in June 2016.
