NEW YORK, NY, July 03, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Nance L. Schick, Attorney, Arbitrator, Mediator, Conflict Resolution Coach, and Owner of The Law Studio of Nance L. Schick, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Nance L. Schick will be featured in an upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2016.
Beginning her career in law in 2002, Nance L. Schick founded The Law Studio of Nance L. Schick in June of the following year with a mission to make a difference in the lives of others. As Sole Proprietor, with two part-time employees often working virtually, as well as a few contracted attorneys who assist her on a per diem basis, Schick is currently the only full-time attorney, arbitrator, mediator, and conflict resolution coach on staff. Fortunate to be currently expanding her team in order to delegate some of her tasks to other experts in the field, Schick is proud of the great successes her firm has gained over the past 13 years.
The Law Studio of Nance L. Schick offers a multi-level, integrative, and holistic approach to private conflict resolution and litigation (when necessary). Focusing on resolution of instant legal disputes, as well as the very personal issues surrounding them, Schick and her team are committed to people turning to the courts as a last resort. Bringing more than 20 years of relative experience to the table, they also offer litigation project management to help maintain workable relationships with client vendors and her firm.
"I have confronted some of the same day-to-day obstacles that my clients are facing. I've been challenged by the typical pitfalls of entrepreneurship, like cash flow shortages, debt, ineffective marketing, and people-pleasing," Schick admits. "But through it all, I've learned something significant from every single bump in the road because I've been willing to look at, and take responsibility for, my contributions to the results. By using my 'third ear' to always determine my next action, I am able to empower myself with each new day."
In fact, it's Schick's Third Ear Conflict Resolution Program that also serves as the foundation for her book,' DIY Conflict Resolution: Seven Choices and Five Actions of a Master', which is available in print and e-book format through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, iBooks, and other booksellers. The Third Ear process uses mediation techniques to uncover hidden interests and self-imposed obstacles, which is a valuable tool that she uses for herself, with her clients, and with her employees every day.
"I've been resolving conflict for as long as I can remember," she noted, "beginning as a child and dealing with my two older sisters who were constantly fighting. I've always wanted peace, freedom, and the liberty and justice for all that I was told we would have in the United States."
Schick has been interviewed numerous times for talk radio, local television, and various magazines about her work. She's also coached in a variety of forums and given more than a dozen presentations on the topics of litigation, law and ethics, conflict resolution, and business development.
Having struggled to overcome childhood sexual abuse, neglect, abandonment, multiple suicide attempts, rape, assault, her mother's battles with cancer, and her young nephew's physical abuse, Schick realized that she had to take the much needed time for herself to become the woman she wanted to be. Today, she continues to fight for each and every one of her clients in the same manner she fought for herself.
