LIBERTYVILLE, IL, September 08, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michele Colice Cadwell, also known as "The Dancing Granny", has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Michele Colice Cadwell will be featured in an upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2016 and will be making a Time Square Appearance on September 27, 2016.
Actress Michele Colice Cadwell, who is well known for her roles on television commercials for companies like Ace Hardware, Humira, and Turkish Airlines and as an extra for a number of television shows including the popular Chicago Fire and Chicago Med, recently danced her way onto the Chicago White Sox big screen while attending a game not long ago.
Better known as "The Dancing Granny" ever since her dancing debut, Cadwell has been using her funky dance moves to show her support and promote various social issues like peace, love, understanding, equality, and recycling. Dancing for people any chance she can get, she continues to gain attention across the nation, making great strides for causes near and dear to her heart.
"Getting people to do simple things, like recycle, is so important," Cadwell said. "My energy for dancing comes from my heart; it gives me amazing energy and I feel like I am 24-years-old all over again."
Today, as Cadwell continue to dance, she hopes to make others feel equally good about themselves by doing good unto others in their surrounding communities. She is also active as a member of Sustain Libertyville, a local organization in her town that advocates the need for change both locally and across the world. Currently, they are pushing for recycling and are changing chemical uses of companies that work on people's property. Inspired by Sustain Libertyville, Cadwell's learned so much in the little time she's been a member and she feels inspired to continue paying it forward any way she can.
"I want people to understand that just because you are older doesn't mean you aren't capable of creating change in the world," the wife of 40 years, mother of three, and grandmother of two said.
A former educator, chef, and realtor, Cadwell earned her BA at Drew University before completing master's level coursework at the prestigious Art Institute in Chicago.
