Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Becky Sexton as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    ROCKWELL, IA, September 14, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Becky Sexton, Owner of Twin Lakes Environmental Services, LLC, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine.

To better help local farmers stay in compliance with state and federal regulations, Becky Sexton formed Twin Lakes Environmental Services, LLC in Rockwell, City, Iowa in July 2004. For the past 12 years, the organization has been working to aid livestock producers desiring to build facilities or expand existing ones by staying in compliance with regulations and keeping farming operations within their families. Serving as a liaison between farmers and local and federal agencies, Twin Lakes Environmental Services, LLC's goal is to ensure that environmentally sound agricultural practices are implemented and manure is used in compliance with regulations at all times.

"Over the past few years, more and more Americans are losing sight of the fact that it's our farmers who are feeding our country," Sexton said. "Our farmers are working from sun up to sun down to feeding not only their families, but families across the country. Much of the food found in our grocery stores across the United States are coming from our hardworking farmers."

Sexton's role as Owner of Twin Lakes Environmental Services, LLC is twofold: working closely with clients to help them recognize the importance of the laws and regulations set forth and how they pertain to each and every site; and ensuring that clients truly understand how their environmental plans work and how they can stay in compliance at all times.

Active within her community, Sexton is a volunteer advocate for D/SAOC, a volunteer for Iowa Food and Family Project. She is also a member of Iowan Cattleman's Association, Iowa Pork Producers, International Women's Leadership Association, and First Presbyterian Church. Married to an Iowa State Legislator, Sexton also attends weekly community events to support her husband and has been participating with his annual House District 10 parades that span four different counties. Having grown up on a dairy farm, she is also a former board member and secretary of Farm Bureau of Calhoun County.

Sexton earned a degree as a Legal Assistant before moving forward with her company to learn how to do environmental management. She takes continuous courses to keep up to date with laws and regulations.
