About Wendie Flitton:

Ms. Flitton started her career as a secretary for a small machine shop. Unfortunately, due to an economic downturn, the company was forced to split up. She was approached by one of the owners of the shop, who asked which part of the business had been most profitable over the years. Ms. Flitton quickly identified this area: the shop's grinding work. Recognizing her potential, the owner then gave Ms. Flitton full control of the grinding work with the promise of putting her at the head of a new company that would be focused entirely on grinding services. True to his word, he made her the head of this new company while he ventured into other industries. Such was her success that after several years, Ms. Flitton was able to buy out the owner. Presently, 26 years later, she oversees 12 employees and manages the operations of her successful company.

With an eye on the future, Ms. Flitton plans to work on acquiring more accounts that will use Swiss machining processes. She wants to make Superior Grinding and Sales a more turnkey business and eventually hand it down to her children. Furthermore, she hopes to have the time enjoy her ranch and the animals. She maintains strong ties to her rural roots, and she is still actively involved in producing Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) rodeo shows, which has been her family's business for the past 60 years.
