SSgt. Jeremy J. Franzen is Recognized by Worldwide Branding For Excellence in Technology

After serving his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1988 until 2012, Jeremy J. Franzen continued his career as a civilian in the field of technology. While in the U.S. Marines, he gained vast experience internationally, and now in civilian life, he has focused on the internationalization of multiple companies. He most recently served as the senior director of Internet operations for Shutterfly, Inc., a position he gained in April of 2015. In his role, Mr. Franzen applies his expertise in leadership, business vision, and technology to managing more than 180 petabytes of data, overseeing a team of 30, and building a team on an international scale. He also handles budgeting responsibilities and profit and loss management.

In 2012, Mr. Franzen studied war fighting leadership and technology at the Marine Corps University of Continuing Education. He also holds various military and technology certifications, including the ITIL and ITIL V3 certification, and is a trained Oracle Master. While in the military, Mr. Franzen was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal and the Navy Achievement Medal. He attributes his successful career to his work ethic, which was instilled in him by his father. Looking toward the future, Mr. Franzen looks to lead a multi-national team of technology experts as the vice president or a C-Level executive of a company.
