Out of 7,227 craft beer submissions at GABF and 150 at Alpha King, it was Montana's beers and breweries that rose to the top. This should speak volumes to the craft beer community and the world.
BILLINGS, MT, October 17, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Uberbrew, a Billings-based brewery and eatery announced their team won Small Brewery & Brewer Of The Year award and snagged two gold, one silver and one bronze medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) in Denver, CO held October 6-8, 2016. The GABF is the country's largest and most prestigious festival with over 7,227 craft beer submissions. Entries are held to a rigorous set of style guidelines by the festival's Professional Judging Panel. This year Uberbrew medaled in four categories (the most of any brewery) with their beers.
These awards come just on the heels of placing 2nd at the highly coveted "Alpha King Challenge" for their "Alpha Force Rapdom Triple IPA" this past Friday. Considered the holy grail of well-balanced and drinkable hoppy ales, the Alpha King pits 150 of the world's most passionate and proficient brewers within the style against one another.
When asked about the huge success of the winning entries at both events, Head Brewer Mark Hastings replied, "It is very exciting to be recognized by our peers for something we work hard at everyday. The quest for the Superlative Pint is an honorable one and it feels amazing to see our hard work paying off. Thank you to our patrons, and the judges for enjoying our craft."
As for the company's continued success in competitions and as a taproom, Uberbrew President, Jason Shroyer said, "I feel the numbers really speak for themselves. In the end, out of 7,227 craft beer submissions at GABF and 150 at Alpha King, it was Montana's beers and breweries that rose to the top. This should speak volumes to the craft beer community and the world. There is no doubt in my mind we have earned our place amongst some of the best breweries in the world, and we owe that entirely to the support of our community, the dedication and character of our team, and the shared vision and genius of Mr. Mark Hastings. The future of Uberbrew is strong. I couldn't be more proud of our team."
