LOS ANGELES, CA, November 04, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Songwriter Krysle Lip has released the first single "Electric Mirror" off his debut album "Intravenous Therapy," which dropped this spring. In his music, Krysle explores very tortured themes. Drawing inspiration from his own life and society in general, he uses this energy to create beautiful aural artwork."Every day is a reminder that we should fight for quality and art," says Krysle. "It's all that remains when we die." The new single truly connects us with the unconscious habits and pattern to which humanity has grown accustomed.
In keeping with this pattern, "Electric Mirror" is a truly unique creation that brings society's overwhelming obsession with social media to the forefront through a wave of Krysle's cinematic sounds that include remnants of alternative pop, chillwave, indie rock, and electronic music. His lyrics develop a rich and mysterious prose worthy of the 70s, while some have dubbed his style "esoteric David Bowie." It's as if 90's Manchester post punk was set in Paris's Moulin Rouge.
"Electric Mirror" was inspired by his good friend, supermodel and Victoria's Secret Angel, Angela Lindvall. The song centers around social media's impact on both its users and the rest of the world, and it showcases the "selfie" and "instant gratification" generation by highlighting the mirror within the devices that drives so much of their appeal. Although Angela tries to stay away from social media, the industry and society pressure her to have a presence there. She is the epitome of the "selfie queen" that so many people aspire to become. In today's modern world vanity reigns supreme and appearances are everything. Women in particular are often made to feel unattractive due to standards imposed by the media. Through his music, Krysle hopes to be a role model and work towards liberating not only women, but men as well - they are often expected to fit certain stereotypes, but Krysle believes they are becoming more aware of themselves with an increased desire to show their sensitive and refined side.
"Rules are manmade," says Krysle. "If you hear or see it, it's possible. It's better to think with your soul than your brain."
About Krysle Lip
Krysle Lip is a producer, songwriter, performer, and musical visionary. He's worked with Grammy award winners Florian Lagatta and Darrell Thorp to create his unique sound, marked by an interesting fusion of eclectic instruments whose subtle mix and untamable intensity renders it cinematic. There's a seediness, beauty and despair enraptured in each note.During his childhood Krysle developed his sensibility and creativity, spending hours drawing or talking with the roses in the garden. The creative industries of music, film and fashion have followed him throughout his life along with many hidden notes of poetry. He lists the characters of Stevie Nicks and Jim Morrison as inspirations within his attitude of work, along with a deliberate approach to life. But more importantly, Krysle Lip has always felt the need "to go home;" sadly that place doesn't really exist. He says it's probably a calling or a memory from another place and hopes to gather with his music all the people who feel this way, because they exist. A new world awaits.
