Laila El Gammal Honored for Excellence in Textile Sales

    SURREY, BC, November 07, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Laila El Gammal, Managing Director of Nobeltex has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in textile sales.

As the managing director of Nobletex, Laila El Gammal is responsible for selling textile machinery and accessories, working as an agent for European companies, acquiring inquiries, finalizing orders, performing quality assurance inspections, and providing after sales services. Nobeltex is a textile Agency that also provides fire protection systems. Ms. El Gammal attributes her success to her hard work, having become involved in her profession after being introduced to the industry by her father.

In 1959, Ms. El Gammal's father, Mohamed Hussein El Gammal founded GIES, a textile agency, out of necessity, as the post-revolutionary Egyptian government had confiscated most of his properties and finances. In 1963, when Laila had become an engineer, she asked her father to allow her to work with him, but he initially declined, saying that this was not a job for girls. Later, when his retirement was approaching, Laila told him that she was considering a career change to education. Mr. El Gammal then suggested that she take over the business in his place, in a surprising reversal on his part. Through her hard work and persistence, traits instilled and encouraged by her father, GIES and later Nobletex - established by Mrs. El Gammal in 1990 - have thrived.

Ms. El Gammal received a Master of Science in chemical engineering from Alexandria University in 1968. She maintains affiliation with the Association of Engineers in Egypt, and she has received an Award of Excellence in Business in 2007. In years to come, Ms. El Gammal hopes to be succeeded by her daughter, Eng. Nayla El Tawil, who has, in less than two years, already acquired the agencies of Picanol, Zimmer and Neumag.
