Katie's Pizza and Pasta Osteria to Host November Giveback Tuesday Benefiting National Children's Cancer Society

    ST. LOUIS, MO, November 09, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Katie's Pizza and Pasta Osteria in Rock Hill is proud to announce their upcoming Giveback Tuesday event, which will benefit The National Children's Cancer Society in St. Louis. The event is slated for Tues., November 15.

Katie's Pizza and Pasta Osteria is very close to raising and donating $100,000 for local non-profit organizations, and this next Giveback Tuesday event could help them reach or exceed this goal.

Every month Katie's Pizza and Pasta Osteria features a local nonprofit charity and donates 100 percent of the earned proceeds from the entire day to the charity. Lunch, dinner, drinks, and carryout are all included. To date, Katie's Pizza and Pasta Osteria has raised over $90,000 for local charities.

Since 1987, The National Children's Cancer Society has helped more than 38,000 children with cancer and their families by providing over $62 million in program distributions. This year alone, they have assisted just over 2,700 families.

Insurance typically does not pay for the non-medical expenses associated with having a child in treatment, and most families report that a childhood cancer diagnosis dramatically or negatively impacts a family's financial stability. The National Children's Cancer Society makes it their mission to provide financial relief and educational and emotional support to children with cancer, their families, and survivors.

Funds raised from the Giveback Tuesday event will be used to help The National Children's Cancer Society provide financial assistance to families battling childhood cancer.

Katie's Pizza and Pasta Osteria is open every day at 11 a.m. and features Happy Hour specials from 3 to 5 p.m. and 9 to 10 p.m. Carry-outs are also available.
