Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Cheryl S. Jackson as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    EAST PEORIA, IL, December 22, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cheryl S. Jackson, Certified Lean Office Advisor and Six Sigma Black Belt-Caterpillar Product Development System for Caterpillar, Inc., has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Cheryl S. Jackson will soon be featured in an upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine's Top 10 of 2016 edition.

Going back to school to pursue her career interests after raising her children, Cheryl S. Jackson completed her BA in Business Management and began working as a Benefits Representative for Mitsubishi Motors in North America. Entering into grad school, she then earned her Master of Education with an emphasis in Global Human Resource Development. But in 2004, her company had downsized and she was let go. Luckily, she landed an even better role after being taken on board by a world-renowned construction equipment manufacturer, Caterpillar, Inc.

"I can honestly say working for Caterpillar, Inc. has been a dream job. I love what I do," Jackson said. "I work with diverse cultures, am constantly challenged, and am learning something new every day. I also work alongside a wonderful team of professionals that make it that much more rewarding."

As a Certified Lean Office Advisor, Jackson helps the company become more effective by enhancing the roles of her fellow employees. Assisting divisions within Caterpillar, Inc. by streamlining their daily processes, her assistance helps every aspect of their jobs run more smoothly and efficiently, to include workshops. These workshops, which train employees on various tools and methodologies, also build strong and trusting relationships with fellow co-workers. Jackson recently accepted a new position in Corinth, Mississippi as a Section Manager in the Reman Large Power System Division.

Caterpillar, Inc. provides a global service to many countries across the world, including the United States, by building and designing machinery that is used in the construction, resource, energy, and transportation industries.

Jackson currently serves as the President and Area Coordinator for Dream Factory, a volunteer-based, non-profit organization that is dedicated to making dreams come true for children ages 3-18 that are faced with chronic and life-threatening illnesses.
