Katie's Pizza and Pasta Osteria to Host February Giveback Tuesday Event Benefiting The Haven of Grace

    ST. LOUIS, MO, February 08, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Katie's Pizza and Pasta Osteria in Rock Hill is proud to announce their upcoming Giveback Tuesday event, which will benefit The Haven of Grace. The event is slated for Tues., February 28.

Every month, Katie's Pizza and Pasta Osteria features a local nonprofit charity and donates 100 percent of the earned proceeds from the entire day to the charity. Lunch, dinner, drinks, and carryout are all included. So far, Katie's Pizza and Pasta Osteria has donated more than $100,000 to local nonprofit organizations.

Funds raised from the Giveback Tuesday event will be used to help The Haven of Grace support their core programs, which provide safe and healthy housing for homeless, pregnant women and their children. Their residential programs house women and children for up to three years and include case management and on-site therapy.

Founded in 1988, The Haven of Grace is located in Old North St. Louis and works with each woman to create and meet personal goals in the areas of parenting, health, education, employment, and finance. In addition, the nonprofit organization's Ten-Year Aftercare program provides a safety net of support to the women they've helped for up to a decade after they graduate from the residential programs.

The Haven of Grace can house 17 women and their children in their residential programs. Currently, the organization is caring for 45 women and 115 children in their aftercare program.

"If our families successfully complete all of our programs, we will be connected to them for up to 13 years," said Kate Tichelkamp, Development Manager at The Haven of Grace. "This means that we get to see babies who were born here in the shelter reach adolescence. Most of our women come from generational poverty, and we can help break that legacy before it's passed onto their children."

Katie's Pizza and Pasta Osteria is open every day at 11 a.m. and features Happy Hour specials from 3 to 5 p.m. and 9 to 10 p.m. Carry-outs are also available.
