PALATKA, FL, February 09, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rev. Jesten Peters, Traveling Minister, President, and Founder of Keys of Authority Ministries, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Rev. Jesten Peters was recently featured in a 2017 edition of Women of Distinction Magazine.
Founding her ministry at the age of 56, Rev. Jesten Peters has learned that it is never too late to make a difference. After taking the opportunity to explore the possibility of doing ministry work full-time after first attending Judy Jacobs' International Institute of Mentoring in October 2005, Peters later incorporated Keys of Authority Ministry that same year, in December. She has since traveled the United States spreading the Word of God, recording teaching programs for television, teaching Bible Studies at area churches, writing, speaking at women's meetings and conferences, and teaching seminars as the face of Keys of Authority Ministries, as well as overseeing day to day responsibilities of running the ministry. The logo for her non-profit organization, which consists of seven keys, includes knowledge, holiness, prayer, forgiveness, repentance, faith, and love, all of which firmly represent the organization's overall vision and mission.
"I was first called into ministry when I was just 14-years-old," Jesten said. "I have now dedicated myself full-time to my calling and I am so proud of how far we've come as an organization. As President and Founder of Keys of Authority Ministries, it is my duty to serve in every way possible. By offering sound education to help Christians continuously grow spiritually, it's important to remember that we all are in need of love, grace, and the Lord's mercy."
Authoring her first book, Peters released 'Running to Win the Race' in 2012. The book speaks to Peters' study, from bible college to seminary, having served in local churches and ministries for more than 40 years, and her observation of many Christians who have grown in their faith and walk with the Lord. By laying a foundation of the Word and "connecting the dots", Jesten goes into depth about how readers can get their hearts and minds ready to receive the Word. She also teaches readers about taking the keys of the Word and how to apply them in their everyday lives.
In addition to writing her book, Peters has written numerous articles for a local Christian newspaper, 'The Spirit Newspaper', and writes quarterly for 'New Beginnings of Life Christian Magazine' on various topics. She has also received numerous accolades for her work in ministry. In the 1980s she was awarded with a Key to the City of Eatonton, Georgia, in connection with her prison ministry work. In 2005, she was named Woman of the Year for Columbus County, Florida. In 2012, she was named to 'Renewed Christian Magazine' as one of their Eight Phenomenal Women in Ministry. Finally, in 2014, the International Seminary honored her with a plaque to recognize her 48 years in Gospel Ministry.
Volunteering her time as often as possible, Peters sought formal training at Central Bible College at their Detroit extension campus, graduated from RHEMA Bible College in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in 1979, became licensed in ministry in 1982, completed her Bachelor of Theology at International Seminary in Plymouth, Florida in 2001, received her ordination from Seminary in 2001, and completed her Master of Theology at International Seminary in Plymouth, Florida in 2013.
