ANTANANARIVO, MADAGASCAR, March 21, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- This Alahamadi Be (Malagasy New Year) the people of Madagascar are celebrating a healthier future thanks to a strategic collaboration between NIP Global, Ltd., JRA Hospital and local leadership. The three entities have been working together to bring a life-saving initiative to the local population - an advanced medical imaging center. The center is equipped with cutting edge diagnostic tools for early detection and effective treatment, including advanced mammography, MRI, eco-Doppler, lithotripsy and scanning equipment.
Officially inaugurated in January 2016, the imaging center is now fully operational treating roughly 3500 patients a month. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and staffed with local professionals who have been trained by Dr. Mohammed Homoud, medical director of the center. The JRA imaging center is open to the general public, finally providing equal high standard treatment for all.
The Joseph Ravoahangy Andrianavalona Hospital is the largest public hospital in Madagascar. It serves both as a treatment facility and as a teaching hospital. NIP Global, Ltd. is an international provider of IT solutions for civil registry. They develop new advanced registration systems for governments and corporate organizations around the world, assist with upgrading existing systems and supervise the implementation / transition process. NIP strives to use their professional knowledge and tools to contribute to local society wherever they conduct business. In Madagascar, they elected to use their technological strengths to fill an evident void in the local healthcare system.
Breast cancer is a highly treatable form of cancer when detected on time but it is still one of the top twenty causes of death in Madagascar. Until the new imaging center was opened many noninvasive procedures including mammography were not available to people who couldn't afford travelling abroad or visiting a private medical facility. Keeping in mind that Madagascar is ranked as the 10th poorest country in the world and that treatment options for breast cancer in Madagascar are extremely limited, improving pre-detection possibilities for the public was an obvious choice of action.
However now that the center is up and running, NIP Global, Dr. Homoud, and the local ministry of health are facing a new challenge - raising awareness to the importance of regular checkups and early detection. In Homoud's words, "Prevention is better than treatment, we are concerned about Madagascar's tomorrow and care about the future of its people". Together with the president's office and the JRA medical staff NIP are now focusing om making mammograms even more accessible. They are also working on an extensive breast cancer awareness campaign and hope to reach a significantly wider segment of society in Madagascar. As NIP Global knows so well, it is not enough to implement new and advanced technological systems if one wants to create real change. Training people to use the new systems and teaching the public of their benefits are both integral to the upgrade process.
Since 1994 NIP Global has been meeting and exceeding government and large private sector client expectations in the field of advanced civil registry through the implementation of advanced civil registration IT solutions. NIP evolved as a leader in the development of complex IT solutions to meet the varying civil challenges faced by governments around the world. Today they are synonymous with excellence in delivery and systems management.
