Delphi Academy of Boston to Host 37th Annual Bike/Hike-A-Thon on May 6th from 10:30am to 2:30pm at Borderland State Park in North Easton

    MILTON, MA, March 29, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Delphi Academy of Boston will host their 37th annual bike-a-thon on May 6th from 10:30am to 2:30pm at the Borderland State Park in North Easton. The school encourages all students and alumni to participate in support of the school's ongoing growth during their one and only annual fundraiser for expansion projects. Tuition alone cannot fund the expansion needs of any school without raising the cost of tuition to parents significantly, so fundraisers serve an invaluable role in every student's education. This year's fundraising goal of $30,000 will address the school's classrooms and provide funds to spruce up their physical plant.

Delphi students will take sponsored bike rides and hikes in the Milton area to raise donations for the school. Proceeds through such events make it possible for Delphi Academy to flourish and continue their goal to create a better world through effective education. In years prior, Delphi Boston raised funds to install a basketball fence, add playground surfacing, acquire iPads, and math fact computers, as well as a much-needed roof replacement over the elementary school classrooms.

Donations have also assisted in acquiring new playground equipment, renovating the science lab, and purchasing classroom computers and smart boards. Last year's hike/bike-a-thon's goal was to raise funds for a larger classroom for middle school students, thereby making more space for all students. Delphi Academy of Boston is a non-profit 501(c)3, and donations made to the school through this fundraiser are tax-deductible.
