A Crafted Community is Brewing in Muscle Shoals

The project was spearheaded by three childhood friends and city natives, Chad James of Chad James Group and Heath Thompson and Wayne Russell of Cypress Construction. Highland will feature 30 lots and choice of seven inspired homes designed by Chad James Group, reflecting style of Southern farmhouses that dot the region.

The project that has been a year in the making and emulates designer Chad James love of the town that shaped him. "Each home is designed to reflect elements of classic Southern design with modern sensibilities," expresses Chad James. The home exteriors include covered porches, gabbled roofs, and elements indicative of the historic city. Russell said "I've been building and developing with Heath for 16 years, but this is the first time our company has had the opportunity to work with a designer from beginning to end. I believe it gives future homeowners a much better end product."

After traveling the world as an interior designer and eventually settling in Nashville, TN, Chad wanted to give back to his hometown community in Alabama. The growth in Muscle Shoals made this the ideal time for Chad to build a legacy that will last for generations in his hometown.

This community project is not only inspired by history of Muscle Shoals but will also inject commerce with local contributions of labor and supplies as well as providing quality housing with a strong footprint of the area.
