Beth Baldwin, APRN, PNP, BC Joins the Chesapeake Health Care Family

    BERLIN, MD, May 18, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Chesapeake Health Care is excited to welcome Beth Baldwin as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in our brand new Pediatric office located in Berlin, MD. Our new office will open on July 10, 2017.

Beth has her Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from West Virginia University. She has been a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner ANCC, certified for 12 years. She practiced pediatric neurosurgery for 8 years, and primary pediatrics for 4 years in a private pediatric office in West Virginia. Beth is the immediate past president of the West Virginia Nurses Association.

Beth has participated in numerous speaking engagements on the Affordable Care Act, and the importance of being a politically active nurse leader. She has held several governor-appointed seats in West Virginia including West Virginia Medicaid Preferred Drug Prescribing, West Virginians for Affordable Health Care, and the West Virginia Infant Mortality Review Board. In her role as policy leader, she has coauthored the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Sunrise application, and has also assisted in drafting legislative proposals for West Virginia APRN legislation. On numerous occasions, she has provided expert testimonies at the West Virginia Legislature. She was a leader in the coalition of experts that passed landmark legislation in West Virginia to allow APRNs to practice to the top of their certifications and allow them to treat patients without physician oversight.

Beth recently moved to the Eastern Shore from her family farm in West Virginia. She and her husband, Larry, enjoy a blended family of 9 children and 5 grandchildren. She is very excited about her new position with Chesapeake Health Care as a pediatric provider in the Pediatric office in Berlin. She is practicing at our Pediatric facility located at 9956 N.
