With skate-aid we support kids in areas of conflict and deprivation by bringing skateboarding to their communities.
LOS ANGELES, CA, August 18, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- King Ice, a leading men's streetwear brand, has partnered with skateboarding foundation skate-aid to launch the official skate-aid necklace. Proceeds of each sale will go to help the skate-aid organization fund skate parks and equipment. The pendant, modeled after the skate-aid logo, will release on the King Ice official website in gold and silver.
According to skate-aid's official website, the aim of the foundation is to, "bring hope on four wheels to young people." The owner of skate-aid, Titus Dittmann, started the foundation to help children overcome differences in areas of conflict. Over the years, the organization has built sport and skate arenas in Rwanda, Sahara, Kabul, Cologne and Munich.
Together with King Ice, the skate-aid pendant, name and logo, will reach its network of youth who enjoy skateboarding. Each purchase made on King Ice or from its retailers, will help contribute to skate-aid's vision and drive of building skate parks throughout the world.
The pendant will launch alongside a 24", 1mm sterling silver chain and include specially made skate-aid packaging. In the future, King Ice hopes to make more pendants and products for the skate-aid foundation and further the organization's mission statement of bringing hope on four wheels.
"The partnership," according to Derek Belay the co-founder of King Ice, "matches our brand's vision because of our connection to streetwear-themed pieces, from skate pieces like our broken skateboard pendant and mini skateboards. With our connection to massive retailers and street wear boutiques, we feel we can partner with skate-aid to further both of our goals and build a flourishing partnership."
