Jackson Design & Remodeling Lands on Inc. 5000 List for Landmark Eighth Year; Just One Percent of "Fastest Growing Private Companies" Earn the Distinction

Magazine's "Fastest Growing Private Companies" list for an eighth year. JDR also earned spots on Qualified Remodeler's "Top 500" and the San Diego Business Journal's "100 Fastest Growing Private Companies" list.

According to Inc. Magazine President Eric Schurenberg, "This is Jackson's eighth time on the list. Needless to say it gets harder every year as the starting base grows. Of the tens and thousands of companies that have applied to the Inc. 5000 over the years, only a fraction have made the list more than once. A mere one percent have made the list eight times."

Todd Jackson, CEO and Founder of Jackson Design and Remodeling has led his company to tremendous growth, jumping from $5.3 million in revenue in 2009 to $18.2 million in 2016 with the company on track to reach more than $22 million in 2017.

JDR also earned the #93 spot on San Diego Business Journal's "Fastest Growing Private Companies" list and Qualified Remodeler's "Top 500," moving from #87 to #74 on the 2017 list of the nation's top remodeling companies.

Inc. Magazine's list of the 5000 Fastest Growing Private U.S. Companies is compiled based on revenue growth from 2013 through 2016. To qualify, companies must be U.S. based, privately held, for profit and independent. Jackson Design and Remodeling is among the top construction companies in California named to Inc. Magazine's prestigious list.

Qualified Remodeler publishes its annual "Top 500" based on the following criteria: Annual sales volume for the previous year, total number of years in business, association membership, certified employees on staff, industry awards and community service. Each company submitted a letter or audited statement from their CPA to verify their total volume of sales. Jackson Design and Remodeling has been ranked on the Top 500 list every year since 2004. This year, Jackson Design and Remodeling continued its upward climb, earning the #74 spot on the list, up from its previous spots at #87 in 2016 and #98 in 2014.

To be considered for San Diego Business Journal's annual list of the "Top 100 Private Companies" in San Diego, organizations were required to be in business the entire year of 2014 and have generated revenues in excess of $350,000, the starting point for annual comparison. SDBJ staff reviewed the financial details of each organization's business operations in 2014, 2015 and 2016. The information was verified by independent certification. Businesses were required to be San Diego County-based, independent and privately held; and not a division or subsidiary of another organization, public or private.
