St. Joseph Hospital Earns 2018 Women's Choice Award in Five Specialties

    ORANGE, CA, February 02, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- St. Joseph Hospital in Orange has earned the Women's Choice Award as one of America's Best Hospitals in five specialties. The 2018 honor recognizes the hospital as one of America's Best Hospitals for Heart Care, Cancer Care, and Obstetrics and as one of America's Best Breast Centers and America's Best Stroke Centers.

The Women's Choice Award is the only evidence-based designation that identifies the country's best healthcare institutions based on robust criteria that consider female patient satisfaction, clinical excellence, and research conducted in partnership with the Wharton School of Business on what drives the hospital experience for women versus men.

- The Women's Choice Award for America's Best Heart Care signifies that the cardiovascular care provided by St. Joseph Hospital's heart and vascular experts is in the country's top nine percent of hospitals offering heart care services. The nationally acclaimed Center for Heart and Vascular Wellness was the first in Orange County to provide technologically advanced diagnostic and treatment options to adults suffering from cardiac and/or vascular disease.

- St. Joseph Hospital's Center for Cancer Prevention and Treatment earned the 2018 Women's Choice Award for Cancer Care by meeting the highest cancer care accreditation standards of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, excellence in clinical performance in regard to patient safety measures, and high recommendation rates. The award signifies that the hospital ranks in the top nine percent of hospitals throughout the country offering these services.

- St. Joseph Hospital's Obstetric Services is one of 452 award recipients representing the hospitals that have met the highest standards for obstetrics across the United States.
