American Tech and Management University Celebrates First Graduation Class

    PLEASANTON, CA, May 23, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The California-based American Tech and Management University (ATMU), an educational institution offering Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate degrees in business administration, will celebrate its first graduation class in a ceremony at San Ramon Bishop Ranch Center on Thursday, May 31.

Twenty-two students who have earned their Master's in Business Administration degree will take part in the inaugural commencement ceremony, set to begin at 7:00 p.m. The commencement ceremonies will begin with a ribbon-cutting event at 5:30 p.m. with San Ramon Mayor Bill Clarkson and members of the San Ramon Chamber of Commerce in attendance of the historical event.

The milestone is met with excitement by both students and ATMU staff, eager to celebrate the accomplishments of the institution's first graduates, according to Lawrence H. Rubly, Dean and Chief Operating Officer of ATMU. "We offer an educational experience that focuses on one-on-one interaction with our students. We want to give each one the feeling of being the only student we have," Rubly continued, discussing the ATMU's mission and goals. "From the topmost employee on down, we make time for our students to meet one-on-one with us, for both academic and personal reasons. If the students need help with a resume or a class, we help them and find opportunities for them to succeed."

ATMU currently offers a range of degrees in the single field of Business Administration. Students can work on three different degree levels, which are a Doctorate in Business Administration, Master of Business Administration or Bachelor of Business Administration. The Bachelor's program allows students to streamline their focus to one area with specializations in marketing management, financial management, human resource management, or business administration.

The school is also unique in that it offers a hybrid model of online and onsite education, designed to provide flexibility for students to learn at an accelerated, yet comfortable pace. This first run through was a huge success, according to Rubly. "I've seen a lot of progress in the students' mindsets, their approach to solving business problems and their management of projects. Many of our students are immigrants, and they've had a lot of progress in their communication styles, too. This group has come a long way in their personal and professional growth," he said. "If our first graduating class is any indication of what the future holds, well, I think we're onto something pretty special here at ATMU."
