PHILADELPHIA, PA, September 06, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Philadelphia Dentistry donated more than 200 backpacks and school supplies to KIPP Philadelphia elementary students in North and West Philadelphia, as part of its "Care to Share Backpack" program.
Representatives from Philadelphia Dentistry, including dentistry owner Dr. Ken Cirka, DMD, personally greeted and hand-delivered backpacks filled with school supplies to first-graders at KIPP Philadelphia Elementary Academy as they arrived for the school's open house on Monday, August 13.
"We are grateful for Philadelphia Dentistry's generosity and commitment to service to the children of the City of Philadelphia," said Jessica Cunningham Akoto, Executive Director of KIPP Philadelphia Public Schools. "Their donation of backpacks and school supplies will help ensure that our students are equipped and prepared with the materials needed to succeed in the classroom."
Philadelphia Dentistry's "Care to Share Backpack" program aims to provide students with basic school supplies before they arrive for the first day of school.
"We are always happy to help out the community as much as we can. We hope these backpacks and supplies will help the students get off to a great start to have an amazing school year!"
