LOS ANGELES, CA, December 18, 2018 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The KC Sisters, ranging in age between 21 and 15, have a fondness for the all-girl groups of the 1960s despite the nearly 60-year time span.
Where music is in the Casey family's DNA with both parents being musicians and music professors, the girls' age difference is barely noticeable and their bond with a multitude of instruments offers listeners a truly great experience. Their latest EP, "Walk with Me" features four original songs and offers their cover song renditions of the country hit, "I'm Diggin' It" and the rock classic, "Please Mr. Postman" by the Marvelettes. The same cover song became a hit for The Beatles in the late 1960s and The Carpenters in the late 1970s. Added to this delightful EP are multiple original songs by the Casey sisters that highlight their acapella harmonization to their mastery as skilled musicians.
In 2019, the KC Sisters will be profiled in a one-hour docutainment, "The Girlhood", paying tribute to the girl groups of the 1960s including The Shangri-Las, The Supremes, The Shirelles, The Ronettes, Martha, and the Vandellas, The Chiffons, The Crystals, The Paris Sisters, The Exciters, and The Dixie Cups. A new LP will be released featuring 12 songs from these top Billboard hits.
The one-hour special will feature rock and roll icons that share their experience and perspective of how the girl groups revolutionized the music industry. Learn more about the performers at https://www.KCsisters.com and hear the cover song, "Please Mr. Postman".
